"Quality health care close to home" is the motto of Athol Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed acute care and outpatient facility offering a wide range of medical, surgical, and support services, including a 24-hour critical care unit in the emergency department. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is a designated Critical Access Hospital and Primary Stroke Center. Primary care and specialty physicians have offices in the Medical Arts Building on the hospital campus, at the West River Health Center at 450 West River St. in Orange, and in local private venues.

From Rte. 2, exit 18 (Athol). Go west on Rte. 2A 1.6 mi. Hospital on left near high school.
