Fox Valley Wildlife Sanctuary

Lincoln Rd., Phillipston, MA

Includes a series of fragile wetlands and the headwaters of Popple Camp Brook. A blue-blazed loop trail leads through a mature forest and an area of early forest succession.

Description:

The 103-acre Fox Valley Wildlife Sanctuary encompasses a series of fragile wetlands and the headwaters of the lovely Popple Camp Brook. A blue-blazed loop trail leads visitors through a mature forest and a more open area that demonstrates early forest succession. Indeed, the sanctuary is being managed to provide a variety of habitats, which in turn provide homes and sustenance for a variety of wildlife.

Directions:

From Phillipston center, head west on Petersham Rd. and straight onto Lincoln Rd. Go 1 mile to trailhead on right.
