A wonderful hiking or rock-climbing experience.

Description:

Part of the trail system at the Northfield Mountain Environmental and Recreation Center, Rose Ledge is a destination in itself for rock climbers. Group climbs are sometmes offered by the Western Massachusetts Climbers Coalition. Rose Ledge is accessed from a spur off the Rose Ledge Trail, a loop also enjoyed by hikers and snowshoers. Maps are available at the Visitor Center, ½ mile beyond Poplar Mountain Rd.

Directions:

From Rte. 2, go about 1-1/2 miles to Poplar Mountain Rd., on right. Go 1/2 mile to parking area on left.
