An active group of birders, geologists, star-gazers and plant enthusiasts who sponsor regular outings.

Description:

The Athol Bird and Nature Club was founded in 1963 to "enhance the appreciation of natural history in the North Quabbin region." To fulfill this mission, it manages the Millers River Environmental Center, which houses the club's extensive collection of birds, mammals, rocks, and minerals; offers numerous free and low-cost programs for members and the public; sponsors accessible birding outings and other field trips; actively cooperates with other educational and environmental organizations to further its core mission; and publishes a newsletter and maintains an e-mail list to keep club members and the community informed about upcoming events.

The club welcomes new members; visit website for details.
