True to the definition of a modern  day "Renaissance Man," David Buddington possesses wide interests and is expert in many areas, one of which is the hand-crafting of fine picture frames at his workshop in West Royalston. Using a router to add detail and nuance to ordinary lengths of cherry and mahogany, David then assembles the parts into unique and handsome picture frames. Partial to Van Gogh prints, some of David's frames complement carefully matted prints of the master, while other frames await only a customer's favorite picture.

Having first been introduced to woodworking in high school, Buddington's woodworking skills have proven useful in the expansion and design of his large, rambling home for over the past 20 years. David taught physical education in Boston schools for many years, and worked briefly as a baker prior to succumbing to his true love of woodworking. 

An avid gardener and the owner and caretaker of many prolific fruit trees, his horticulture skills are only slightly surpassed by the expertise he practices in his woodshop each day.
