Lydia's Pressed Flowers

Lydia Ruel, the creative force behind Lydia's Pressed Flowers, lovingly grows, nurtures, and then beautifully preserves her own flowers and plants as framed pressed flower pictures.

Lydia began making her pressed flower pictures over 30 years ago. She simply wanted to preserve her beautiful gardens, and a new artistic endeavor was born! Lydia grows each and every flower and leaf that she uses in her work. She employs only 100% organic growing methods. Her garden is a great joy to her, and through her artwork, she hopes to pass that joy on to you. The many different designs and arrangements Lydia creates are her favorite part of her work.

Lydia has lived in the North Quabbin area for over 50 years, and the various flora that thrive in all four seasons is what she loves best. Her work has been featured in many regional flower shows in Boston and Worcester, in Japan, and at our local Garlic & Arts Festival.
